Numbers in parentheses are issue numbers. If they do not have a colon, they're from the second series. If they are noted as (3:something), they're from the third series.

—UNDER CONSTRUCTION—

Just want to make a note to myself here that I need to look at WW 47-49, which is the first meeting and has some very odd things in it from the modern viewpoint.

Let me put in some notes from the DCMB as well:

Next up on my website after I get all these freaking Amazons listed will be a roundup of Donna's life and origins.

What would you say have been the turning points in Donna's life?
Or some interesting passages within it?
Or some horrific blunders, either on her part or that of her creative staff?
What have been her greatest feats? (How often has she gone up against a Superman or Wonder Woman?)

What was her best look? (Uniform as well as civvies.)

Is Robert really dead?

Has Donna jumped the shark at any point, and if so (1) when was it and (2) did she make a comeback from it?
What about that silly orb?
What do you think about the Titan gods being incorporated into her life? Yea, nay, or partially?

Who was the closer friend: Lilith or Kori?
How close are she and Cassie? No, really?

And just for fun (how Donna would HATE this!): how do you rate the guys in her life? How do you think she'd rate them?

Being kidnapped as a kid, rescued from the fire taken to PI, meeting the Titans, becoming A WITCH!, learning photography, marrying Terry, getting rid of him, becoming a Darkstar . . . fifteen origin tweaks . . . death, rebirth, five minutes as Wondy.

>

Or some horrific blunders, either on her part or that

her blunder, marrying Ginge. The creative staffs? Not leaving her origin alone - OK, who is Donna Troy was a tad knackered by the Crisis; fine, don't mention the contentious points again.

> What have been her greatest feats? (How often has she
> gone up against a Superman or Wonder Woman?)

Er . . .
>

Red Cardy uniform. Civvies wise, I have a vague memory of a green overcoat but she's no style icon.
>
> Is Robert really dead?

Nope, he's with Mayday Parker.
>
> Has Donna jumped the shark at any point,

When she became Troia and donned THAT uniform; marrying Beardy.

and if so
> (1) when was it and (2) did she make a comeback from

She's OK at the moment,

> What about that silly orb?

Best forgotten.

> What do you think about the Titan gods being

Not at all, they're a confusing, annoying bunch.
>
> Who was the closer friend: Lilith or Kori?

Lilith, she was just being polite with Kori, but with Lilith, she connected.

> How close are she and Cassie? No, really?

Not at all, Donna thinks she should keep an eye on the troublesome brat.

>

Terry - 10
Dick +10
Kyle +5
Roy +7

My ratings only

What would you say have been the turning points in Donna's life?

THE NEW TEEN TITANS #38 was the first huge turning point for her.

Or some horrific blunders, either on her part or that of her creative staff?

TITANS/YOUNG JUSTICE: GRADUATION DAY was just one huge misstep in her storyline.

What was her best look? (Uniform as well as civvies.)

I love how Jimenez drew her on the cover of THE RETURN OF DONNA TROY #4. Her DarkStar outfit was a knoclout too!!!
The best one though is her NEW TEEN TITANS look: Wonder Girl .

Is Robert really dead?

I would say yes. I just read the issue of WONDER WOMAN where he, his half-sister and his father were killed.

"What about her current hubbie?"

I would rate Coeus a 7 or 8 (he's hot and I believe loved Donna), but I think she would rate him lower than Kyle.

Quickly: her best uniform for me was the Cardy red/stars, followed by the Return of Donna Troy choker/starfield.

The 1000 lives Dark Angel curse was the most traumatic.

RODT and Who is Wondergirl were her shining moments.

Jumped the shark when they depowered Donna and put her on a farm!

Donna had a stronger connection with Kory.

***Being made Champion of the Titan gods

When Hyperion tried to make her his new wife in New Teen Titans 11 and 12

> Or some interesting passages within it?
> Or some horrific blunders, either on her part or that
> of her creative staff?

****Biggest Blunder ever- when she temporarily became a heroine who preceeded Diana.

John Byrne's making her a mystic twin.

The horrible first Troia costume.

Insisting on keeping the Troia look even after the Timeline paradox was healed and Diana once again came onto the scene as a heroine first.
After all the Titan gods did to her? Her colors should reflect her allegiance to DIANA. Donna was at her peak as a Fan Favoriite when she wore the Classic Red and Gold costume.

> What have been her greatest feats? (How often has she
> gone up against a Superman or Wonder Woman?)

***Her battle with the Red Panzer and against the Beastiamorphs she fought side by side with Wonder Woman.
>
> What was her best look? (Uniform as well as

***The CLASSIC RED AND GOLD Wonder Girl costume. Her civilian clothes- her best look was when Phil Jimenez and George Perez drew her.
>
> Is Robert really dead?

***I hope so.
>

> What about that silly orb?

****"Troia" just does not work no matter how hard DC Editors insist on it.

> What do you think about the Titan gods being
> incorporated into her life? Yea, nay, or partially?

Partially. It would just keep her connection to them from the point when she was approached by Phoebe goddess of the moon to be their champion against Sparta of Synriannaq.

Diana saved her from the fire originally and her post Infinite Crisis Origin in the CURRENT Mainstream DCU is having been saved by Diana as it should be.

***By default.

Aside from the alredy metioned ones: Technis Imperative: Letting Robert go.

>Or some interesting passages within it?

For someone who is supposedly an orphan this girl sure has a lot of family! The Evans, Athnys, The Titans, The Titans of Myth, The Amazons

>Or some horrific blunders, either on her part or that of her creative staff?

would have liked to have seen more Donna as WW

>What have been her greatest feats? (How often has she gone up against a Superman
>or Wonder Woman?)

Putting Diana and Polly in their place while defending the Banas.( I had to stifle my "you go girl" comment!)

>What was her best look? (Uniform as well as civvies.)

Toga on the plane during her honeymoon.

>Is Robert really dead?

*argh* No. I'm convinced that Dark Angel swiped them and their being held in some hell dimension. Really. Dark Angel tried to do this to Polly - mistakingly taking "Donna" adn not Diana. This time she got it right. (with the added bonus of Terry Long's ex wife hating her even more.) Donna been shown to miss her son (as any mother rightly would) Dark Angel plan's is now effective.

>Has Donna jumped the shark at any point, and if so (1) when was it and (2) did she >make a comeback from it?

1) Dark Angel.
2) not there yet...

BUT - the latest Titans was the most competent I've seen her in a while. Now she need to kick some tail you know?

>What about that silly orb?
No problems, but stop calling her Harbringer.

>What do you think about the Titan gods being incorporated into her life? Yea, nay, or >partially?

Partially - after her training, Rhea should have brought her back to the same spot and TIME. Then Diana could have saved her then. Simple, fast fast, all orgins maitained.

>Who was the closer friend: Lilith or Kori?

SHARON STACEY - first roommate and fellow artist.

>How close are she and Cassie? No, really?

Not close but intends to be. Donna will feel responsible and be a mother hen. It's what she does. And it's okay.

>And just for fun (how Donna would HATE this!): how do you rate the guys in her life? >How do you think she'd rate them?

Thanks Carol - your forced me to acutally think about this and I've come ot realize that Roy isn't that bad for Donna after all.

Kyle - never got this relationship (Not a negative, just not really exposed to it)
Dick - She loves him, and could love him more, but knows (truth avatar alert) that though he LOVES her, he's not in love her ( + She's Kory's best friend. Ciao)
Roy - loves her, but feels he doesn't deserve her. She can sense that, but thinks he's being silly. (Now he's hanging with Hawkgirl?)
Garth - (pre dophin) they both know loss.
Terry *sigh* I think her was fascinated by her. She was 19 and had a this college professor acting paying attention to what she had to say.
Coeus - weird electra complex going on here. She *does* love him but like the pre-crisis Hyperion. It's a manupulated love. Trust broken. Ciao

What would you say have been the turning points in Donna's life?

"It's the new Wonder Girl. How 'bout that Tigers?" love that panel from the end of the original Wonder Girl origin way back in Teen Titans. New Teen Titans #38, marrying Terry Long, becoming Troia, petitioning the gods to get her powers back and being turned down, rejoining the Wonder Family post-Crisis (even though I'm less than thrilled than how Byrne went about it), her death, and rebirth.

Or some interesting passages within it?
After Crisis, when she leads the New Teen Titans while Dick is busy feeling sorry for himself. The story from the Girlfrenzy special where she (as Troia) goes up against Red Panzer alongside Diana and Captain Marvel. I always liked how she showed up during the Titans Hunt and took charge (too bad War of the Gods came along and removed her from the storyline). Her time as normal earthgirl Donna Troy when she was Green Latern's girlfriend. That moment during the JLA/Titans Technis story where Dick rescues her from the simulated reality and tells her that what she's experiencing isn't real and she says with a tear, "I know." I liked the Countdown Hunt For Ray Palmer specials. Donna came across a lot better in those than she did in the main Countdown series.

Or some horrific blunders, either on her part or that of her creative staff?

The mystic twin/Dark Angel stuff was pretty bad. I think her pregnancy and de-powering wasn't thought out at all. Most of the "Titans" series from the late 90's early 2000's was unbearable. But, at least Donna wasn't the only Titan who suffered in those issues.

What have been her greatest feats? (How often has she gone up against a Superman or Wonder Woman?)

What was her best look? (Uniform as well as civvies.)

Tie between red jumpsuit w/gold stars (both Cardy's original version and Perez's 80's streamlined version) and the starfield catsuit she was wearing up until her death. The redesigned post-resurrection version is OK, but I like the version just before a little better.

Is Robert really dead?

Right now. But, who knows what some writer down the road will do?

Has Donna jumped the shark at any point, and if so (1) when was it and (2) did she make a comeback from it?

Jumped the Shark #1: gives up powers to be a Mom.
Jumped the Shark #2: becomes a Darkstar.
Jumped the Shark #3: is "Harbinger"

She's come back from each of these because that was the writers/editors jumping the shark. Other writers/editors have come along and polished her tarnish away.

What about that silly orb?

Obviously destroyed at some point during the year between Final Crisis and OYL, since we haven't seen it since.

What do you think about the Titan gods being incorporated into her life? Yea, nay, or partially?

Yea.

Who was the closer friend: Lilith or Kori?

Lilith was like a High School best friend. There is a closeness there that no other friend will ever approach, but there is also something very "childhood" about it. Kory was her first adult friend and therefore much deeper, much more real, and much more meaningful.

How close are she and Cassie? No, really?

Cousin-close. They see each other at big family gatherings and every so often outside of it. She probably calls and checks on her every so often, but they don't talk every day. Sometimes a couple weeks go by without them talking.

And just for fun (how Donna would HATE this!): how do you rate the guys in her life? How do you think she'd rate them?

1. Kyle - Her most adult and balanced relationship. She probably loved him more than she loved any of the others. Probably also wishes they could still be together somehow, even though it's not ever going to work out.

2. Roy - Her high school boyfriend. There will always be affection and love there, and the occasional falling back into his arms in moments of weakness or nostalgia, but it's not a realistic love.

3. Coeus - Her god-husband. Probably too confused about him, since she was in a haze during their marriage. Once her mind-fog cleared, probably a little weirded out since he was a father-figure to her earlier in life. Still kind of has the hots for him though, and probably wishes the mind-fog would come back at times to enjoy their marriage again.

4. Terry - Classic older guy-younger girl. He was a professor. She was intrigued. He was the first Man she had warm toasty feelings for. Confused that with true love. Got married anyway. Even if things hadn't gone sour with Terry, eventually they would have grown apart as Donna got older and grew apart.

5. Dick - Just friends. Really. Close as a brother, but still just friends.
